| The Graphic Design Services We Offer.

Graphic design is the art of creating visual content, which includes using typography, images, colours, and shapes to communicate a message. Its ultimate goal is to make information easy to comprehend. These are type of graphic design services Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. offers:

Brand Identity Graphic Design

This involves designing a logo, typography, color schemes, and visual elements that reflect a brand’s personality. The goal is to create a coherent and appealing brand identity that will resonate with the target audience. As brand designers we are well-versed in the non-visual aspects of branding. Such as brand personality and brand voice and tone. These concepts are intrinsically tied to how the visual brand looks.

Marketing and Advertising Graphic Design

This type of design covers promotional materials like brochures, flyers and leaflets, posters, banners, social media ads etc. The goal is to attract, engage, and persuade the target audience. All while staying true to the brand guidelines and visual identity!

Web and UI Graphic Design

Also known as UI design, this involves creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. Good UI design enhances user experience and usability. As web designers, although we are also well-versed on the technical elements of UX and web design, and understand the limitations and opportunities of each project, we offer limited expertise on coding and development.

Print and Publication Graphic Design

This involves designing the layout and visual design aesthetics of print materials like brochures, magazines, newsletters and factsheets. The main goal is to enhance readability, engagement, and, of course, make an impression.

Our graphic design services cover both digital and print, as well as limited motion graphic outputs. For print services, we partner with Solo Press but may source alternative suppliers if required. Printing costs are subject to the chosen supplier and Coco & Bella Creative Design neither takes a cut of any printing cost, or adds any charge onto the total.

| Our 5-Step Graphic Design Process.

Design Process

Wondering what the process for graphic design is? Or how graphic designers work? Although the process varies slightly among different designers and projects, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. follows and works to these key stages:

Briefing Stage: Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. will hold an introductory client meeting to understand the client’s vision, goals, and requirements. This can be face to face, by video call, or a telephone call. A written project brief is then required, outlining objectives, target audience, budget, timelines, and any specific brand guidelines. For new clients, we reserve the right to request a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront, before any design work commences.

Research and Analysis: As part of the design process, we will conduct market research to investigate the industry, competitors, and target audience of the client. We will get familiar with the brand identity and tap into trends while maintaining longevity.

Conceptualisation and Ideation: We will brainstorm a variety of ideas, and may create mood boards to visually explore directions and themes. The client will then pick a concept we us to either develop, or to move forward with.

Design Development and Refinement Cycle: Now, it’s time for prototyping and mockups! We will solidify the best ideas into more polished designs using design software, making time for revisions based on client feedback. Please note that unless we have neogiated and agreed upon a set price for a project, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. bases any work done by it's designers on an hourly rate. Generally, minor revisions, alterations, amendments etc., may be included in the original quotation provided to the client, but any major changes, or a deviation from the original brief may incur additional costs.

Final Production and Delivery: Once the final revision is complete, we will prepare the file(s) with all necessary file formats. We will also conduct quality control once more and deliver the final design files to the client.

| Our Tools and Frameworks.

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. uses the following tools, platforms and software:

  • Design Software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma, Adobe XD, ClipChamp.

  • Collaboration Tools: Trello for team collaboration and project management.

  • Video Meetings: Whereby and Microsoft Teams.

  • File Management: Dropbox or Google Drive for file sharing and storage.

  • Typography Resources: Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts.

  • Stock Imagery and Icons: Shutterstock, Unsplash, Pexels, and Adobe Stock.

| Pricing for Our Design Services.

We set out our pricing and costs for bespoke design projects in a fair and transparent way. Estimates are always provided to clients before any project is started, or work undertaken and they can be in written or verbal form depending on the client. Estimates are provisional and the information contained within them are for valuation purposes only. Final costs may be higher or lower if the initial timescale or requirements change.

For large projects that are equal to multiple studio days, we require a non-refundable deposit of the equivalent of a day's work paid by the client. This acts as a firm commitment on the project and ensures studio time. As the frequency of incoming jobs and projects is always very fluid, it's critical that we can schedule them as booked time against requirements and delivery expectations. The balance is to be paid upon completion of the project.

We reserve the right to change our pricing structure at any time and make every effort to inform our clients before doing so. Since we have been in business (June 2021), our pricing structure has remained the same.

| Invoices and Payments.

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co.'s payment terms and conditions are the standard 30 day settlement from the date of the invoice sent. Clients must pay the full invoice within this timescale by BACS transfer. Any deposit paid by the client for a project, will show on the invoice as a deduction.

| Refusal of Services.

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. reserves the right to decline services to a client on the basis that a) we feel as though we cannot deliver the design requirements to the client's wishes, b) that the client requesting the work owes Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. costs already incurred from previous work, or c) that the vision and values of said client do not align with those of Coco & Bella Creative Design Co.

| Our Portfolio.

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. may include examples of it's work within it's portfolio. We retain the right to do so under the terms of service, unless you have expilicity instructed us not to. We understand and appreciate that some creatives may contain sensitive information (such as financial, commercial or other business sensitive) and therefore we will not include this in our published portfolios. We do not share the majority of the work we have done for the NHS or any of its partners, for example because of this very reason.

It is important for us (Coco & Bella Creative Design Co.) to be able to visualise the services we offer, and to demonstrate what we can do for other potential clients and therefore we may add creative work automatically to our portfolio, or other digital platforms. It also allows us to help market or promote our clients. Demonstrating our work is not limited to this page, but may also be used on any other page on our Site, our social media channels, and/or our Behance Portfolio page.

| Poster Store Policy.

The digital and print poster designs sold on our Site and within our Etsy Poster Store, which is externally linked from our Site, are all original designs created by Coco & Bella Creative Design Co.

You are not permitted to resell or share these products with any other third parties without explicit permission to do so, which is not generally implied.

By purchasing a product from our store, and our external Etsy Store, you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to the above could result in potential legal action.

We do not allow refunds on our digital download posters because the files are available immediately upon receipt of payment and cannot be returned once purchased.

For print posters, these are made to order and therefore refunds will only be granted if the print received by the customer is proven to be defective. We have a robust quality-checking process in place so these instances are extremely rare. We do not accept exchanges.

We provide tracking information on all shipments of print posters and cannot accept responsibility for missing parcels. Please ensure that you enter address details accurately and check them carefully before completing your purchase. If you have any issues regarding the delivery or receipt of your package, please contact the courier directly quoting the tracking number. We will not provide refunds for undelivered parcels - once the parcel is shipped, we have fulfilled our responsibilities for the completion of the order.

| Our Trademark.

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. is a registered trademark and therefore cannot be used without our explicit permission for anything design related. This includes the use of our name, our brand assets, and products from our Poster Stores (on this website and on third party websites such as Etsy.)

The only exception to this, is the use of any deliverable we may have created for a client which may have our name on, or if you have purchased a product from one of our stores.

You are not permitted to copy our name (Coco & Bella Creative Design Co.) or use it on anything that you have not been provided permission to do so. Use of our primary logo, and any subsequent colourway variants is prohibited unless you have been granted explicit permission to do so.

Copyright Ownership & Intellectual Property.

Copyright Ownership

Copyright protection automatically arises when Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. creates an original design and fixes it in a tangible form like a printed or digital file.

Designer as Author

As the graphic designer, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. is considered the "author" and, therefore, the initial copyright owner of all the designs we create.

Assignment/Licensing

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. can choose to assign (transfer) a copyright to a client or employer, or license them the right to use the design while retaining ownership. Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. automatically transfers the copyright across to the client on delivery of the project, however, considers it a shared copyright in the instances of it using that work as an example in it's portfolio, or for social media purposes. The client must notify Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. if a project is sensitive (especially in commercial circumstances), and should not be shared publically.

Copyright and Client Relationships

The terms and conditions on this page (www.cocoandbellacreativedesign.co.uk/legal) act as a clear contract

between Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. and it's clients, outlining copyright ownership, usage rights, and any other relevant terms.

Client Ownership

When Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. are commissioned to create a design, the client will typically own the copyright, unless otherwise agreed in the contract.

Designers Retainment Rights

As the designer, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. is prohibited to use the artwork elsewhere (except as detailed above - portfolios ((both on this website, Behance and other portfolio platforms)), social media etc.), but can definitely claim it as their creation.

Using Third-Party Materials.

Obtaining Permissions

When using images, fonts, or other creative works created by someone else, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. obtains the necessary licenses or permissions from the copyright holder. Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. occasionally sources materials from non-licensed suppliers however. Generally, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. will incorporate the costs of any licenses purchased and obtained on behalf of the client, but will notify the client in cases or circumstances when it doesn't. Clients must obtain the license for fonts where one is required to be able to permit use of them commercially.

Creative Commons

Occasionally, any creatives that Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. design for clients may be placed under a Creative Commons license, which allow us as creators to specify how our work can be used.

Stock Imagery

When using stock imagery, Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. ensures it has the correct license for the intended use (e.g., commercial, non-commercial).

Font Licenses

Digital font files are protected under copyright law, so Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. ensures it has the appropriate license for using fonts in it's work. Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. generally uses Adobe and Google fonts, for which a license is obtained. In special circumstances, the client must ensure it has obtained the license for fonts/typefaces that are only permitted to be use for commercial purposes.

Avoiding Infringement

Coco & Bella Creative Design Co. will not attempt to "trick" copyright by distorting, blurring, or otherwise stylizing images it doesn't own.
